Out-of-State Tuition Reduction Program - Effective the 17/18 academic year, Kutztown University created an Out-of-State Tuition Reduction Program which provides tuition savings for first-time non-resident undergraduate first-year and transfer students who meet the eligibility requirements at the time of application. The maximum allotment is 8 semesters and 6 semesters for transfer students. This rate pertains to full time enrollment only (there is no full time status in Winter or Summer sessions). Part time enrollment is at the full Non-PA resident rate. (1) Tuition covers 12 to 18 credit hours per semester. Undergraduate students taking 12-18 credits in the fall and spring semesters are considered full time. Enrollment of greater than 18 credits, when permitted, will see additional costs of tuition per credit only with no additional required fees.
Part-Time Students - Part-time is the classification for undergraduate students who are taking less than 12 credits in the fall and spring semesters. All students are considered part-time in the summer and winter. These students are charged tuition and required fees per credit. Graduate and Doctoral students are always charged tuition and required fees on per credit basis.
Courses designed as off campus are internships or those held at another location for the course duration as designed in the course creation (not an election of the student or professor).
Courses held on the campus, Blended Courses (Hybrid), Independent Study courses, and Individualized Instruction courses.
Courses that are 80% online or more as designed in the course creation (not an election of the student or professor).

These are fees that will be incurred upon application, acceptance or election.
A $35.00 application processing fee is charged for individuals applying for admission to the institution. This fee is non-refundable and is not applicable to any university fee under any conditions.
